Virtual graphics and USB-connected computing technology provider DisplayLink and LED/LCD and HDTV monitors manufacturer AOC announced on Monday that the new e1649fwu portable USB 2.0 monitor from AOC enabled by the DisplayLink DL-125 chip, is available in the USA.

According to the company, the lightweight AOC e1649fwu, which features a 15.6" display, provides an ideal take-along monitor for business presentations and for other multi-screen applications.

The monitor offers a maximum resolution of 1366x768 at 60Hz and receives its power and video signal through a USB 2.0 port, drawing a maximum of 8W.

The combination of AOC's e1649fwu and DisplayLink technology integrates with existing desktop / notebook environments and is supported on operating systems including Windows XP / Vista / Windows 7 & Apple MAC OSX Tiger / Leopard and Lion. Linux support is also available through many of the standard distributions.

Pricing is USD139.
